Up 4-2 heading into the eighth inning at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, the Palm Beach Cardinals surrendered a trio of runs to the Daytona Tortugas and were unable to answer, falling 5-4 on Saturday night.

The Cardinals opened the scoring in the first inning on an Elijah Cabell bases-loaded single. Trailing, 2-1 in the fifth, the Beach Birds stormed back in front on RBIs from Aaron McKeithan and Jhon Torres, with Darlin Moquete also scoring from third base on a balk called Tortuga pitcher Ryan Cardona.

McKeithan--batting cleanup as the DH on Saturday--led Palm Beach offensively, going 2-5. Moquete, Jeremy Rivas and Jesus Orecchia each drew two walks on the night.

Trent Baker started on the mound and tossed five innings, striking out eight batters and surrendering two runs. Jack Raston tossed two shutout frames out of the bullpen and earned a hold, while Griffin Roberts threw a scoreless ninth inning to keep Palm Beach in the game late.
