Parsons is entering his fifth season as General Manager with the Lansing Lugnuts. During his time with the Lugnuts, he has helped transform Jackson Field into a year-round venue with such events as Nitro Circus, Grand River Country Club, GLIAC Baseball Tournament, and comedy shows. He also helped usher in a new affiliation with the Oakland Athletics in 2021, and a league promotion to the High-A Central. Parsons previously served as GM/VP of the Johnson City Cardinals from 2014-17, and the team saw an increase in attendance, ticket sales, and corporate sales in each of his four seasons. The Cardinals set the organization's single-season attendance record in 2016 and again in 2017. Johnson City also enjoyed success on the field, as the team won the 2014 and 2016 Appalachian League Championships.
Prior to Johnson City, Parsons spent two years in the Coastal Plain League as the GM of the Martinsville Mustangs and Director of Fun with the Forest City Owls. He also served as the Ticket Sales Coordinator at Central Michigan and Sports Information Director at Mid Michigan Community College.
Tyler was named the High-A Central Executive of the Year in 2021 and the Central Michigan 10 Within 10 in 2018. He currently serves on the Lansing CVB Board of Directors and is an active member in the Downtown Lansing Rotary Club Tyler is a graduate of Central Michigan University and is a native of Dansville, Michigan. He resides in Charlotte, Michigan with his wife (Kelsea), daughter (Sawyer), and dog (Knox).
