Ronald Herrera started and tossed six strong innings. He struck out eight, allowed four hits and just one run. He left the game with a 2-1 lead. Garvin Alston took the loss, going an inning and allowing two runs but only one earned. Malvin Pena pitched 1.1 scoreless innings. Carson Teel finished the game by retiring the final two batters in the ninth.
Hassell III doubled, singled twice, and walked in four plate appearances. He also stole second. Drew Millas singled twice and drove in a run. Jackson Cluff doubled and scored in the game. Trey Harris singled and scored in the game. Garcia lined out sharply to first base in the first inning, struck out in the third, reached on catchers’ interference in the fifth, and grounded to shortstop in the seventh.
